The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Central California (UPAACC) extended their support to the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology through a monetary donation.

The donation, through the initiative of CEAT Alumnus Dr. Rey A. Elizondo (BSAE ’68), is part of UPAACC’s Annual Gift Program where they can
donate to the UP college of their choice through the UP Foundation. The donation will be a part of CEAT’s Study-Now-Pay-Later Program which is an initiative from the UPLB CEAT Alumni Association, Inc. (UPAE- UP Los Baños Chapter) that will further support deserving students in need.

The program aims to lend yearly to CEAT students who are at least in their second year up to their fourth year which becomes due and payable without interest, three years after the student graduates or one year after gainful employment, whichever is earlier. UPLB CEAT AA initially targets to make this program available to five (5) deserving CEAT students starting the Academic Year 2019-2020.

Present during the meeting on 19 November 2018 were CEAT Dean- Dr. Arnold R. Elepaño, Associate Dean- Dr. Myra G. Borines, former CEAT AA President- Engr. Bibs M. Ramos, current CEAT AA President- Engr.  Pantaleon LL. Tabanao and UPAACC’s former president and liaison in the Philippines- Mr. August Lansigan.

CEAT together with its alumni and sponsors can make great opportunities available to those who need it most.
